08/11/2013 - Local band shares its journey to Qingdao

Local band The Wilson's introduced their American music to a huge crowd at the Olympic Sailing Center in Qingdao last summer. They spoke about their trip and the "rock star" treatment they received. Eliot Clauss, founder and Chairman of the US-China Yachting Association and local sailor Ian Paice shared the team's experience competing in Qingdao's International Sailing Week Regatta. The attendees were able to  meet our CSULB sailing team bound for China this summer

08/10/2013 - LBQA to enter Qingdao's International Horticultural Expo

The LBQA has recruited an all-star team to enter a "Long Beach garden" exhibit at the 2014 International Horticultural Expo in Qingdao, from April-October 2014. Designers Michael Bohn and Kirk Keller from Studio One ELEVEN, a division of Perkowitz+Ruth (which has offices in Long Beach and Shanghai) are joining forces with Larry Price, the City's Sustainability Officer and horticulture experts Jorge Ochooa and Brian Hastie, from Long Beach City College.
